US President Donald Trump has strongly denied reports claiming that the United States agreed to provide $300 billion to Iran as part of a peace agreement. Calling such reports “fake news,” Trump accused political opponents and Democratic leaders of spreading misinformation regarding the negotiations between Washington and Tehran.
In a social media post, Trump stated that no financial package was offered to Iran and reiterated that the agreement focuses on regional stability and security. He further claimed that Iran has permanently abandoned its nuclear weapons ambitions under the understanding reached between the two nations. Trump also criticized what he described as politically motivated attempts to misrepresent the terms of the agreement.
