Allegations of irregularities have surfaced in the Drug Control Administration under the Health Department, with transfer proposals reportedly moving forward despite an existing ban on transfers. Officials have internally prepared a file to transfer employees who have completed more than three years in the same posting. Across the state, 6 Assistant Directors and 13 Drug Inspectors are said to have been identified for transfer. The file reportedly moved quickly through official channels and is expected to receive approval within the next few days.
Questions are being raised over the urgency of these transfers during a restricted period. Reports suggest that large sums are allegedly being sought for preferred postings. According to the allegations, postings for Assistant Directors are being negotiated for ₹10 lakh to ₹15 lakh, while Drug Inspector postings are reportedly being sought for ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh. While no official confirmation has been issued regarding these claims, the developments have sparked concerns about transparency and corruption within the department.
