A heavy rush of devotees has been witnessed at the Tirumala temple as summer holidays are coming to an end. Large crowds from across the country are arriving for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara. All 31 compartments of the Vaikuntam Queue Complex are fully occupied, and TTD officials stated that devotees without time slot tokens are facing a waiting time of around 18 hours for free darshan.
On a single day, 75,691 devotees had darshan of the deity. As many as 39,050 devotees offered tonsure as part of their vows. The temple’s hundi collections stood at ₹4.16 crore in a single day. TTD authorities are providing continuous support, including drinking water, milk, and annaprasadam, to devotees waiting in queues.
