Thunderstorm Alert Issued for Several Andhra Pradesh Districts

The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has issued weather alerts for several districts, warning of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning over the next three hours. A Red Alert has been issued for Srikakulam, Parvathipuram Manyam, and Vizianagaram districts, where moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning is expected at isolated locations.

An Orange Alert has been issued for Alluri Sitarama Raju district, with forecasts of light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms. Meanwhile, Yellow Alerts have been announced for Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, East Godavari, Sri Sathya Sai, and Anantapur districts, where light rain with lightning is likely. Authorities have advised residents to avoid taking shelter under trees, near electric poles, or close to large hoardings during adverse weather conditions.
