Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Limited (TOMCOM) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Japan-based POGLI Co. Ltd to expand overseas employment opportunities for skilled youth from Telangana. The agreement was signed at the Telangana Secretariat in the presence of Energy and Mines Minister G. Vivek Venkataswamy and senior officials.
Under the partnership, POGLI will identify employment opportunities and build links with companies in Japan, while TOMCOM will oversee candidate selection, registration, preliminary screening, documentation, Japanese language training and pre-departure preparation. The two organisations will jointly develop training covering trade skills, Japanese language proficiency, workplace culture and lifestyle. The initial focus will be on Japan’s Kansai region, with plans to expand to other areas. They aim to facilitate employment for around 400–500 Telangana youth during the first year.
