Telangana is likely to witness increased rainfall activity from September 12 to 14 under the influence of a weak low-pressure system that has formed near the South Odisha coast. According to the latest weather forecast, the impact is expected to be strongest on September 12 and 13. North and east Telangana are likely to receive moderate to heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, with some areas potentially recording 50–70 mm of rainfall. Hyderabad and other parts of south Telangana may also experience moderate showers and thunderstorms.
The weather system is expected to weaken as it moves towards the Vidarbha region. Rainfall activity across Telangana is likely to decrease between September 15 and 17. The districts of Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy and Narayanpet may see comparatively lower rainfall, with only isolated thunderstorms expected. The India Meteorological Department’s Hyderabad forecast also indicates cloudy conditions and spells of rain or thundershowers in Hyderabad through September 14.
