Telangana Government to Procure Jowar from Farmers

The Telangana government has decided to procure jowar from farmers, expanding its crop procurement efforts. A sub-committee has taken the decision to include jowar along with maize in the procurement process, aiming to provide better support to farmers across the state.

Minister Tummala announced the decision, stating that the state government is already procuring maize and will now extend the benefit to jowar farmers as well. He emphasized that Telangana is the only state in the country procuring crops using its own funds despite not receiving any support from the central government.
