The much-anticipated God of War, announced as a collaboration between NTR and director Trivikram Srinivas, is reportedly facing uncertainty. Harika & Hassine Creations and NTR Arts had jointly announced the project, with Anirudh Ravichander confirmed as the music composer. Planned as a grand Pan-India mythological film, the project is now at the centre of speculation following reports of differences between Trivikram and the producers.
According to industry reports, disagreements allegedly arose over the postponements of Adarsha Kutumbam and financial commitments. The film’s reported box-office performance has added to the concerns, with claims suggesting that it collected around ₹65 crore gross in its first week against a break-even target of approximately ₹125 crore. There is also speculation that Trivikram may consider working with another producer. With God of War reportedly requiring a budget of ₹400–500 crore, the slowdown in the OTT market could make financing the project challenging. However, no official announcement has been made confirming that the film has been cancelled or shelved.
