

A gas tanker reportedly went out of control near Nandipadu in Miryalaguda, Nalgonda district, late on Thursday night and collided with five cars and an ambulance. One person was killed in the accident, while several others sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. The collision also caused significant traffic congestion on the Addanki–Narketpally road, with police reaching the spot and regulating traffic.
According to the police, Srinivasa Rao (36), a resident of Ponnur in Guntur district, was travelling to Hyderabad with his family when he noticed a person who had fallen from a motorcycle near Nandipadu. Srinivasa Rao stopped his car by the roadside and called 108 for assistance. While the injured person was being shifted into the ambulance, a speeding gas tanker approached from behind, lost control and crashed into the ambulance and other vehicles. Srinivasa Rao became trapped between his car and the ambulance and suffered fatal injuries. Ambulance staff member Swapna was seriously injured and shifted to Hyderabad for further treatment. Two other people travelling in separate vehicles also sustained injuries. Two cars were completely damaged in the accident.
