The Supreme Court of India has rejected the plea of a man convicted in a triple murder case, refusing to set aside his life imprisonment sentence. The accused, Edida Anand Kumar from Korumkonda village in East Godavari district, had challenged lower court verdicts for crimes committed on December 24, 2015.
According to case details, Anand Kumar allegedly killed three people in a single day after developing personal enmity. The Supreme Court bench, comprising Justices Satish Chandra Sharma and Sanjeev Sachdeva, dismissed his petition, observing that he had already committed multiple murders including earlier offences. The court also rejected claims of bipolar disorder, stating there was no sufficient proof to alter the conviction or sentence.
