Admissions for the 2026–27 academic year have begun, with both government and private schools actively focusing on student enrollments. Parents are also trying to choose schools that provide quality education in suitable locations.
However, identifying which schools have official government recognition and which operate without approval has become a challenge. To address this, the Telangana government has taken an important step.
The School Education Department has made available a list of government-recognized private schools on its official website. The list includes schools affiliated with the state board as well as CBSE, ICSE, IB, and other boards, organized district-wise and mandal-wise.
To access the list, users need to visit the department’s website and select the option Click here for list of recognized private schools in the state. By choosing the district and mandal, details such as school name, year of establishment, board affiliation, and address can be viewed.
Officials also mentioned that additional details like recognition validity will be added soon. Parents are advised to review this list carefully before admitting their children into schools.
