

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the terminal building of the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram and officially dedicated the airport to the nation. Accompanied by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, the Prime Minister toured the terminal and reviewed its advanced passenger facilities, check-in hall, aviation infrastructure, and future master plan presented by GMR representatives.
Addressing the inaugural event, Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu described the airport as a transformational milestone for North Andhra. He said the project would serve as a gateway for regional development, aviation training, tourism, and investment opportunities. The Prime Minister also witnessed a record Thimsa dance performance by 13,500 participants from an open-top vehicle and was presented with a traditional Bobbili Veena by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, marking the occasion as a celebration of Andhra Pradesh’s culture and development.
