Parliament Clears Anti-Paper Leak Bill; Awaits President’s Assent

The Anti-Paper Leak Bill has successfully cleared both Houses of Parliament, marking a significant step toward strengthening the integrity of public examinations in the country. The Rajya Sabha passed the Bill on Thursday, a day after it received approval in the Lok Sabha. Following the passage of the legislation, the Upper House was adjourned until the next day.

With the approval of both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, the Bill will now be sent to the President of India for assent. After receiving the President's approval, the Central Government is expected to issue a Gazette notification, following which the legislation will officially come into force. The proposed law is aimed at curbing paper leaks and enhancing transparency and credibility in the examination system.
