Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has strongly dismissed rumours regarding a shortage of petrol and diesel in the state. He assured the public that sufficient fuel stocks are available and urged citizens not to panic or believe misinformation. A special control room has been established to monitor fuel supply across the state, and a toll-free helpline (1967) has been made available for complaints.
The minister stated that fuel supply has been significantly increased, with diesel supply up by 210% and petrol supply by 132%. On average, around 36,404 KL of fuel is being supplied daily, which is 175% higher than normal levels. Surveillance has been intensified at inter-state borders, and special attention is being given to diesel supply for agricultural needs. District-level monitoring committees, led by collectors, are overseeing the situation to ensure uninterrupted distribution.
