A meeting of finance ministers from all states, chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, has begun. The two-day meeting is being attended by Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav. The discussions are focused on various aspects of the country’s economic progress, development priorities and financial policy matters concerning the states.
The meeting is also focusing on policy priorities linked to India’s development journey towards achieving the ‘Viksit Bharat’ goal. Coordination between the Centre and states, implementation of development initiatives and measures related to economic growth are among the key areas being discussed during the two-day meeting.
