The controversy surrounding the NEET-UG examination paper leak has intensified across India, prompting the Parliamentary Standing Committee to question officials of the National Testing Agency. During the inquiry, NTA officials reportedly stated that the NEET-UG question paper was not entirely leaked, contrary to widespread allegations. They clarified that only a few questions had surfaced before the examination and denied claims of a complete paper leak.
The NEET-UG examination, conducted on May 3 for admissions into medical courses, triggered nationwide concern among nearly 2.2 million students who appeared for the test. NTA Chief Abhishek Singh informed the Parliamentary Committee that the agency is cooperating with the investigation and maintained that the integrity of the examination was largely intact despite the controversy.
