Modi Unveils Bogapuram Airport, Backs AP Growth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram and launched development projects worth ₹18,000 crore during his visit to Andhra Pradesh. Sharing the stage with Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, Modi described the airport as a launch pad for North Andhra's youth and said naming it after freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju was a tribute to his legacy. He also congratulated more than 13,500 tribal women for creating a Guinness World Record with the Thimsa dance performance.

Modi said Andhra Pradesh is witnessing rapid development under the NDA government, with major investments flowing into semiconductor manufacturing, AI infrastructure, data centres, ports, logistics and green energy. He highlighted ongoing railway modernisation, highway expansion, new ports and industrial corridors, adding that projects worth nearly ₹2 lakh crore have been launched during his visits to the State over the last three years. According to him, stronger infrastructure and increased investments will generate employment, boost exports and accelerate the vision of Swarna Andhra and Viksit Bharat.
