

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the government has been making continuous efforts over the past 12 years to provide affordable and quality healthcare services to all citizens. He emphasized that the vision of building a healthy India will remain a priority, with more initiatives planned in the future. Highlighting the success of Ayushman Bharat, he said India has emerged as one of the largest healthcare providers in the world, offering advanced medical services to economically weaker sections.
He further noted that schemes like PM Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana have made medicines, stents, and knee implants more affordable. At the same time, increased medical colleges and seats have expanded access to medical education, enabling aspirants to study closer to their hometowns. Modi added that India is accelerating its journey toward a tuberculosis-free nation through better treatment and public participation, with several major diseases gradually declining. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and outcomes.
