Modi Expresses Solidarity with Terror Victims’ Families

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed solidarity with the families of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the United States, marking 25 years since the tragedy. In a post on X, he said the lives of those affected were changed forever after the attacks. Modi expressed sorrow over the countless innocent people who have lost their lives to terrorism worldwide. He reiterated India’s commitment to fighting terrorism and noted that India has also been a victim of cross-border terrorism, which it has battled for decades.

Modi said terrorism continues to take new forms, but India remains firmly committed to the fight against it. He assured that India would extend every possible support to efforts aimed at eliminating the menace of terrorism. He also shared photographs from his visit to the 9/11 memorial in 2014. On September 11, 2001, Al Qaeda terrorists attacked the United States, destroying the World Trade Center with two hijacked planes and targeting the Pentagon. A total of 2,977 people were killed in the attacks. Memorial events were held across the United States to mark 25 years since the tragedy.
