Fresh Maoist activity has been reported in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli district after posters surfaced in the Bhamragad area. According to available information, the posters called for a district-wide bandh until July 30 and raised issues concerning water, forests and land. The development has once again drawn attention to security concerns in the region, which has witnessed Maoist activity in the past.
Following the appearance of the posters, security forces have stepped up vigilance across sensitive areas of Gadchiroli. Personnel have been deployed to closely monitor the situation and prevent any untoward incidents during the period mentioned in the bandh call. Authorities are also assessing the latest developments as security measures remain heightened in and around Bhamragad.
