KTR Extends Financial Assistance to NEET Ranker

Kondeti Akheera, a resident of Wardhannapet town in Warangal district, secured a rank in NEET and obtained an MBBS seat at a private medical college in Patancheru, Medak district. However, she faced financial difficulties as she needed to pay around ₹2 lakh in fees to join the college. Her situation was highlighted in an Eenadu report titled ‘I Want to Become a Doctor’ published on September 19 in the Warangal district edition. After learning about Akheera’s circumstances through social media, former minister and BRS working president KTR came forward to extend financial assistance.

Akheera and her family members met KTR at Telangana Bhavan on Monday. During the meeting, KTR handed over a cheque for ₹2 lakh to help her with the admission expenses. He also assured the family that he would continue to support Akheera until she completes her medical education. The financial assistance is expected to provide relief to the family and help Akheera pursue her dream of becoming a doctor.
