YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy visited Visakhapatnam and met the injured workers of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant accident. He visited Seven Hills and KIMS ICON hospitals, interacted with the victims’ family members, and described the incident as deeply painful. He urged both the Central and State governments to act with humanity in handling the situation.
Jagan stated that workers did not face any issues during the YSRCP government’s tenure and alleged that pressure on workers has increased under the current situation. He also said that YSRCP had opposed the privatization of the Steel Plant. According to reports, nine people died in the accident, and one of the five injured is in critical condition.
