Irregularities have been uncovered in the booking of Tirumala Srivari darshan tickets, raising serious concerns among devotees and authorities. Fraudsters allegedly used advanced software technology to hijack the official booking system, enabling them to secure tickets within seconds. These tickets, originally meant for devotees donating to the Srivani Trust, were being booked in bulk using third-party auto-filling tools by private internet centers and travel agents, bypassing genuine users.
Reports reveal that nearly 400 to 500 tickets were being booked instantly by feeding pre-entered devotee details into the system as soon as the server opened. Tickets priced at ₹10,500 were illegally sold for up to ₹13,500, exploiting devotees by charging an extra ₹3,000 per ticket. Following complaints, vigilance officials have registered a case against a Chennai-based firm, Padmavathi Travels, and initiated a detailed investigation into the scam.
