Speculation over Kollywood star Dhanush’s possible entry into politics has resurfaced, although the actor has not made any official announcement. The latest move by the All India Dhanush Fans and Welfare Association has triggered fresh discussions in Tamil Nadu. The association has called for the formation of new welfare units in five Assembly constituencies in Coimbatore—Coimbatore North, Kavundampalayam, Singanallur, Sulur and Mettupalayam and urged members to speed up membership drives. While the statement makes no direct reference to elections or political activity, the constituency wise expansion of the fan network has attracted attention.
The speculation gained momentum after Dhanush recently urged his fans to use their unity not just for cinema related events but also for public welfare activities. His comments have fueled comparisons with actor turned politician Vijay, whose fan network was gradually expanded before he entered politics. However, Dhanush has not indicated any political plans so far, and previous reports about his fan club being linked to politics were also denied by his father Kasturi Raja and director Subramaniam Siva. For now, the actor remains focused on several upcoming film projects, while his silence continues to fuel political speculation.
