The southwest monsoon has entered Telangana, reaching the Jogulamba Gadwal border on Monday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that the monsoon will cover the entire state within the next two days. A trough extending from Uttar Pradesh to Coastal Andhra is also contributing to rainfall activity.
Heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms are likely in districts including Khammam, Nalgonda, Warangal, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Hanumakonda, and Nagarkurnool on Tuesday, while light showers are expected elsewhere. IMD has issued a yellow alert, with scattered light rains likely until the 14th of this month.
