Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar has appealed to citizens to remain vigilant as the city experiences heavy rainfall. During an inspection of traffic conditions at Panjagutta and Khairatabad junctions, he instructed officials to ensure smooth traffic management and minimise inconvenience to the public. He also advised residents to regularly monitor weather department alerts and plan their travel accordingly.
The Commissioner cautioned people to stay away from open manholes, fallen power lines, and electric poles during rainfall. Motorists were advised to drive slowly, especially in low-lying areas and near flyovers where waterlogging is likely. With the weather department forecasting heavy rainfall for the next two days, citizens have been requested to avoid stepping out unless absolutely necessary and to contact Dial 100 in case of emergencies.
