Authorities have emphasized that registered mobile numbers and email addresses must be kept current to ensure the timely delivery of traffic challans and official notifications. The move aims to improve communication between enforcement agencies and motorists while reducing instances of missed notices.

According to the police, traffic challans and other important alerts will be sent through SMS, WhatsApp, and email. Vehicle owners who continue using outdated contact information may fail to receive notifications regarding violations or pending penalties. Officials clarified that maintaining updated details on the VAHAN portal will help motorists stay informed and prevent the accumulation of unpaid challans, leaving no scope for claims that notices were not received.
