Machilipatnam continues to face severe waterlogging following heavy rainfall caused by Cyclone Arnab. Several roads across the city remain submerged, with rainwater flowing and accumulating in different areas. Even two days after the rainfall, water levels have not receded significantly, highlighting the difficulties faced by residents. The situation has disrupted regular traffic, making commuting difficult for motorists and pedestrians.
Residents travelling to work and going out for essential activities are facing considerable inconvenience due to the stagnant water. People are also concerned that prolonged waterlogging could lead to sanitation and public health issues. They have urged the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to drain the accumulated rainwater and restore normal conditions on roads. The need for faster drainage measures has become increasingly important as the city continues to deal with the impact of the heavy rainfall.
