Extensive security arrangements are being made in Hyderabad for the upcoming Ganesh immersion celebrations. Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar, along with GHMC Commissioner, Hyderabad Collector, HYDRAA Commissioner and other senior officials, visited the famous Balapur Ganesh idol and performed special prayers. The officials, accompanied by representatives of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi, subsequently inspected the main procession route and ground-level arrangements during a bus journey from the Balapur mandapam.
The main Shobhayatra route stretches for around 19 kilometres. To ensure that devotees face no inconvenience during the immersion, nearly 20,000 personnel will be deployed for security and traffic management. Continuous CCTV surveillance will also be maintained through the Command Control Centre, with various departments working in coordination. Commissioner Sajjanar appealed to idol organisers and citizens to extend their full cooperation to Hyderabad City Police to ensure that the city’s renowned Ganesh procession passes off peacefully.
