Holiday in Hyderabad for Ganesh Immersion.. But..!

The Telangana government has declared September 25, 2026, a general holiday in view of the Ganesh idol immersion procession. The holiday applies to government offices, schools and colleges located in and around the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, as well as the specified areas of Ranga Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts. The decision is aimed at facilitating the smooth conduct of the large-scale immersion procession and managing public movement in the affected areas.

As compensation for the holiday, November 14, 2026, which falls on the second Saturday, will be observed as a working day for the government offices, schools and colleges covered by the order. The notification was issued by the Telangana General Administration Department, with Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju issuing the order on behalf of the government.
