Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla Performs First Puja at Khairatabad Ganesh

Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and his wife performed the first puja at the 69-foot-tall Khairatabad ‘Panchamukha Sankatahara Maha Ganapati’ on Monday morning. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, MP Anil Kumar Yadav, MLA Danam Nagender, festival organisers and priests welcomed the Governor and his wife with traditional Purnakumbham. The leaders also participated in the special puja.

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla said he was pleased to offer the first prayers to the Khairatabad Ganesh idol. He prayed for the health, happiness and prosperity of the people of Telangana and the well-being of the state. Later, the Governor and his wife attended a special Ganesh puja organised by the Lok Bhavan Youth Association at the Lok Bhavan staff quarters. Earlier, they performed the first puja at Ganesh idols installed at the main Lok Bhavan House and Durbar Hall on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
