Government Giving Priority to Spiritual Development – Anam Ramanarayana Reddy

Andhra Pradesh Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said the state is progressing across all sectors while also witnessing significant growth in the spiritual and religious sphere. Speaking at the Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy celebrations in Kanipakam, he said the government is giving a fresh impetus to spiritual development in the state. On Monday, the minister offered silk clothes to the deity on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh government. He said the number of devotees visiting temples across the state has increased by 35 to 40 percent compared with the past, attributing the rise to improved facilities, sanitation and security arrangements.

Anam said the Endowments Department is allocating substantial funds for the development of temples across Andhra Pradesh and taking steps to construct new temples in rural and backward areas. He added that daily offerings and annadanam programmes are also being expanded. The minister said preparations have already begun for the upcoming Godavari and Krishna Pushkarams. He expressed hope that the blessings of Lord Varasiddhi Vinayaka would bring happiness and prosperity to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, their families and the people of the state.
