Fire Accident at Adilabad RIMS.. CM Expresses Grief

A major fire broke out in the SNCU ward of RIMS Hospital in Adilabad late on Monday night. The incident reportedly occurred after an electrical short circuit caused an AC unit to explode, triggering flames and filling the ward with thick smoke. Hospital staff and parents quickly evacuated the children, with some reportedly rescued after window panes were broken. Two children were reported dead, while several others fell ill. The affected children were shifted to different hospitals in Adilabad for treatment.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed grief over the incident and conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased children. He directed officials to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the children undergoing treatment and to continuously monitor their health. The Chief Minister also ordered an inquiry into the cause of the fire and directed authorities to submit a report. He further called for stronger safety measures in hospitals to prevent such incidents from recurring.
