The inquiry into the Erravalli land issue has moved to the field level, with revenue officials beginning inspections in Erravalli and the neighbouring revenue villages of Shivar Venkatapur and Varadarajapur. Officials are examining land boundaries, survey numbers and the status of assigned lands in the three villages. Particular attention is being paid to Survey No. 325 as part of the ongoing verification of land records.
As part of the exercise, officials are collecting details about the people currently in possession of or allegedly occupying assigned land and comparing the ground situation with available revenue records. The inspection comes amid the state government’s decision to conduct a fact-finding inquiry into government land in and around the Erravalli farmhouse area. The authorities are expected to compile the findings and submit them as part of the inquiry process.
