Telangana government is set to launch a major education reform initiative through the Telangana Public Schools (TPS), envisioned as a flagship project of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The first TPS will be inaugurated at Arutla, aimed at providing corporate level education standards in government schools. The initiative seeks to transform the state’s public education system into a model for the country.
The Chief Minister will inaugurate the Arutla TPS at 9:30 AM, where he will also unveil the school pylon and inspect digital classrooms, science labs, library, dining hall, and sports facilities. He will interact with students, teachers, and school committee members, and also have breakfast with students before addressing a public meeting.
The TPS concept includes free transport, breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks for students. With English-medium instruction and modern teaching methods, the project is designed to enhance confidence in public education. As a pilot project, four schools have been selected initially, with plans to expand to 100 schools across the state in phased development.
