The Finance Department has issued orders to implement Electronic Service Register (e-SR) 2.0 for maintaining the service records of government employees in a digital format. The upgraded application will store employees' personal details, service events, promotions, loans, advances, leave records, leave travel concession details, departmental examinations, and training information. After scanning and uploading the physical service register, every service event will be digitally updated and verified before final approval by the HR Manager. The module will be fully operational from September 1.
In another decision, the Finance Department has extended the House Rent Allowance (HRA) benefit for employees working in the State Secretariat and Heads of Departments' offices. Employees will continue to receive 24% HRA or a maximum of ₹25,000, whichever is applicable. The extension will remain in force until CRDA residential quarters are provided in Amaravati, the 12th PRC is implemented, or June 2027, whichever comes first.
