India wants the Russia-Ukraine war and the ongoing crisis in West Asia to come to an end soon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said. He reaffirmed that India supports peace and efforts to resolve conflicts. Modi made these remarks during a joint media briefing with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in New Delhi on Thursday. He noted that India and Poland share a strong commitment to democratic values and stressed the need for reforms in international institutions to strengthen those principles and make the global system more effective.
Modi welcomed the free trade agreement between India and the European Union, describing it as a significant development that could help strengthen economic cooperation between India and Poland. He also announced that India and Poland had reached agreements to expand cooperation in defence, space and nuclear energy. The initiatives are expected to deepen bilateral relations and create further opportunities for collaboration across key strategic and economic sectors.
