India has reached another significant milestone in strengthening its national defence. Enhancing its ability to counter diverse threats from adversaries, the Defence Research and Development Organisation successfully tested advanced technologies in Ballistic Missile Defence and Anti-Ship Warfare. This achievement provides India with the capability to intercept long-range ballistic missile attacks. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh shared details of the successful tests and related visuals.
The DRDO recently conducted a series of three flight tests on June 10 and 11, successfully validating the multi-layered Ballistic Missile Defence system. Interceptors precisely hit their targets, proving the system’s effectiveness against intercontinental missile threats. Additionally, the first test of the Naval Anti-Ship Missile Medium Range system was successfully completed. With this, India joins the elite group of nations possessing advanced BMD capabilities, marking a major boost to its defence strength.
