Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately grant national project status to the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Pranahita–Chevella irrigation project. He also requested the Centre to procure the paddy collected by the state government, ensuring support for farmers and strengthening agricultural sustainability.
Speaking at Gambhiraopet in Rajanna Sircilla district during the foundation stone laying ceremony of a compressed biogas plant set up by Biostratum Technologies Private Limited, Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted that farmers can earn additional income by supplying crop residues to biogas plants instead of burning them. He emphasized that adopting modern farming techniques is key to transforming agriculture into a profitable and festive activity.
