The number of devotees visiting the Ayodhya Ram Temple is increasing day by day, leading to a significant rise in donations. Since the consecration ceremony, over 150 million devotees have reportedly visited the temple, according to the trust. As a result, donations exceeding ₹500 crore have been received. The trust stated that these funds are being securely stored with full transparency. On average, each devotee contributes more than ₹33, while daily donations currently range between ₹8 lakh and ₹10 lakh. The counting and management of these funds have been entrusted to the State Bank of India (SBI).
Amid allegations from opposition parties regarding misuse of temple funds, BJP spokesperson Dr. Rajneesh Singh has demanded an impartial investigation by central agencies. He wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging a probe to strengthen public trust in the temple administration. He also called for strict action if any irregularities are found. These demands come after Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav raised concerns about fund misuse. Meanwhile, Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra visited Ayodhya and held a four-hour internal meeting with trust members.
