Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, speaking with party workers and local leaders at his residence in Kodangal, alleged that the BJP led Centre was conspiring to delete voters’ names under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). He claimed that non BJP ruled states were being targeted and alleged that the BJP was attempting to replicate its electoral strategy in Telangana. Revanth Reddy said Congress workers would not remain silent if attempts were made to remove votes and urged party leaders to remain vigilant.
Revanth Reddy alleged that SC, ST and minority voters were being particularly targeted and accused the BRS of supporting the BJP’s alleged strategy against the Congress. He asked party leaders to coordinate with Booth Level Agents (BLAs) at the village level and ensure that no eligible voter’s name was removed. He suggested assigning one leader for every four villages and urged workers to closely monitor every booth. He called on Congress workers to stay alert and counter what he described as BJP and BRS conspiracies.
