RG Kar Case Probe Faces Fresh Discontent

The mother of the RG Kar rape-murder victim has once again expressed anger and disappointment over the progress of the CBI investigation. Speaking at a programme in Barrackpore on Wednesday, Panihati BJP MLA Ratna Debnath alleged that the judicial process had failed to move forward despite a change in government.

Debnath said there had been little progress in securing justice for the victim and questioned whether the situation had actually changed. Her remarks reflect continued dissatisfaction over the pace of the investigation and judicial proceedings in the case.
