India’s dry chilli exports have become a subject of concern after China reportedly rejected several consignments, claiming they contained pesticide residues beyond permissible limits. The development has raised questions within the export sector, with trade experts suggesting that the move could have wider commercial implications for Indian agricultural exports.
In response to the restrictions, the CCFI has released a white paper highlighting the issue and its possible impact on exporters. Experts have urged the Central Government to take up the matter with international trade bodies and engage in diplomatic discussions to safeguard India's export interests and ensure fair trade practices.
