Nepal Floods - Bank Locker Swept Away in Floodwaters

Sudden floods in Nepal have caused widespread devastation, resulting in significant loss of lives and property. Amid the disaster, a bank locker swept away by the floods in the Bhotekoshi area of Rasuwa district was found along a riverbank in Dhading district. Police said some locals took the locker home, broke it open and allegedly fled with the cash inside.

Dhading district police launched an investigation into the incident and detained 29 people in connection with the alleged theft. Around ₹50 lakh worth of cash, in Indian currency, was recovered from those detained, according to the police. Further investigation and legal action are underway.
