Bhogapuram Airport .. A New Runway for Swarna Andhra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram, describing it as a major milestone in Andhra Pradesh's development and a "runway" for North Andhra's economic growth. Addressing the gathering, he said the airport would serve as a launch pad for employment and investment while strengthening the state's vision of Swarna Andhra and Viksit Bharat. Modi also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects worth ₹18,000 crore, including connectivity, energy and infrastructure initiatives aimed at accelerating regional development.

The Prime Minister praised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for driving rapid industrial growth and attracting global investments. He highlighted upcoming investments in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure and data centres, including Google's proposed AI and cloud campus. Modi said the Centre is committed to transforming Andhra Pradesh into a manufacturing and technology powerhouse through modern airports, highways, railways, ports, pharma parks and green energy projects, creating large-scale employment opportunities and boosting the state's long-term economic growth.
