BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly criticised the Telangana government over the alleged attacks involving his staff. Speaking in Delhi, KTR alleged that an attempt was made to attack his PRO Mahesh Mudiraj and PA Mahender Reddy inside a police station. He also alleged that an attack had earlier taken place at the residence of BRS chief KCR, a senior leader who served as Telangana’s Chief Minister twice and played a key role in the statehood movement.
KTR further alleged that around 15 people attempted to attack his PRO and PA inside the police station and questioned whether those involved were police personnel or unidentified persons who arrived in plain clothes. He claimed that police refused to register an FIR despite repeated requests from BRS leaders, MLAs and former ministers. KTR said the BRS would approach the courts over the matter and expressed hope that justice would be delivered. He also accused the government of resorting to diversionary tactics because it was unable to answer questions raised by the BRS after 1,000 days in office.
