Attack Targets Niamey Airport

A deadly terror attack has shaken the West African nation of Niger. On Thursday, according to local time, coordinated attacks targeted the Diori Hamani International Airport and nearby military airbases in the capital city, Niamey. Officials confirmed that at least 13 people lost their lives in the incident. Security forces swiftly responded and sealed off the affected areas to prevent further escalation.

The militant group Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) has claimed responsibility for the attack.
