The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a key decision regarding the recruitment of government employees. The upper age limit for non-uniformed government jobs has been increased from 34 years to 44 years, providing greater opportunities for eligible candidates. The revised age limit will be applicable until September 30, 2027.
The government clarified that the increase in the upper age limit applies only to non-uniformed posts. Uniformed positions will not come under the revised age limit. The decision is expected to benefit a large number of candidates who were previously unable to apply due to the existing age restriction.
