

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics Nara Lokesh met leading industrialists in Kolkata, including Visa Steel Vice Chairman and Managing Director Vishal Agarwal, Emami Group Director Aditya Agarwal, and Shree Cement Vice Chairman Prashant Bangur. During the meeting, Lokesh praised the transformative reforms introduced by the Central Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to attract investments, create employment opportunities, and accelerate industrial growth.
Lokesh explained that Andhra Pradesh is strategically positioning itself as a key economic partner on India’s eastern coast through world-class ports, strong logistics infrastructure, land availability, reliable power supply, and investor-friendly policies. He also pointed to the ongoing ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel integrated steel plant project near Anakapalli as a major milestone. The industrialists appreciated the proactive approach of the Andhra Pradesh Government and discussed opportunities for strengthening industry-government collaboration and boosting manufacturing competitiveness.
