Despite the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, AI cannot replace judicial discretion and the human approach to decision-making, Telangana High Court judge Justice Surepalli Nanda said. She was the chief guest at the 15th annual Legal Era India Conclave-2026, organised by Legal Era at HICC in Madhapur. Justice Nanda said technology can significantly assist courts in effectively discharging their constitutional responsibilities, but AI would remain only a supporting tool in the decision-making process of judges.
Justice Nanda also said the demand for techno-legal professionals is expected to grow significantly as the legal sector adapts to changing technology. Several legal professionals who have made notable contributions to the corporate sector were felicitated during the event. Senior Advocate Krishna Grandhi, Medicover Hospitals Chief Legal Officer Isha Sinha and Special Government Pleader Divya Adepu were among those who attended the conclave.
